In the first game of the 2nd preliminary round of the Conference League, AZ Alkmaar justified its role as the favorite and defeated Tuzla City with a score of 1:0.

However, the coach of the Dutch team, Pascal Jansen, is not overly satisfied with the outcome of the match.

At the press conference after the match, Jansen praised Tuzla, noting that they are a tough opponent, but also expressing regret that his team did not score at least one more goal.

“I am satisfied with the result, but not how we used the chances. In the first half, we had several opportunities to increase the advantage, but we did not use them. Tuzla City is a difficult opponent who came to implement destruction and play on the counterattack. It is a pity that we did not score one or two goals more, it would be easier for us,” said Jansen.

About the return at Grbavica, Jansen says:

“They now have a result they can be satisfied with. We, on the other hand, have reason to be dissatisfied because we could have scored more goals. We have a fight ahead of us,” admitted the coach of AZ Alkmaar.
